CONLON and Christie's Join Forces

Chicago, June 27, 2013 -- CONLON: A Real Estate Company is partnering with one of the world's most exclusive real estate networks.

Christie's International Real Estate is known for its work with high-end properties and clients, and can be found across the globe servicing the most affluent clients in locations such as London, New York, Hong Kong and Beverly Hills to name just a few of their more than 130 affiliate locations in 40 countries worldwide.

CONLON is now one of those affiliates. The deal, which closed this week, gives Christie's International Real Estate a presence in Chicago, something it didn't currently have.

CONLON remains independently owned and its name and leadership will not change. However, the boutique residential brokerage is now part of the Christie's network that consists of more than 25,000 real estate professionals.

Sean Conlon noted "This deal with Christie's further cements CONLON's reputation as the most globally connected and only true high-end, boutique brokerage in Chicago."

This deal is a key step in the evolution of the Chicago brokerage launched by Conlon in 2009. It boosts the firm's profile, exposing it to a wider national and international market, and positions CONLON to better serve some of the world's most exclusive home buyers and sellers.

Already, CONLON is working with some of the city's most expensive properties. The firm represented both the buyer and seller in the recent $4.2 million sale of a Lincoln Park mansion at 542 W. Dickens; it was one of the most expensive single-family home transactions this year in Chicago.

CONLON had total sales of $500 million last year. It has nearly 200 agents and offices in the Gold Coast, West Loop and Roscoe Village with a new Lincoln Park office that recently opened at 2040 N. Halsted.

Becoming a Christie's affiliate is another sign of CONLON's success, as only the most accomplished real estate professionals are invited to join the network. Christie's exhaustively vets potential affiliates, examining all aspects of a firm's business, history, and sales potential.

To be chosen, a firm must demonstrate that it's a leader in its field, exceeds stringent service standards and has a proven record of success.

Christie's auction house was founded in 1766 and is one of the most respected and recognized luxury brands in the world. Their International Real Estate company continues that tradition.

Being a client of Christie's auction house, Sean says, "I am well aware of the caliber of service they provide which compliments CONLON's philosophy and approach to serving all of its clients."
